M|WOD vs ROMWOD

Any opinions here? I've been doing M|WOD and I don't dislike it, and I know KStar is well regarded as the go to guy in mobility, but when I spend 10 minutes rolling out my sternocleidomastoidius I start to wonder about other options.

I loved romwod and if I wasn't broke I would be using it daily.

Romwod is plug and play and has you following along to a video with various 2-4 min + stretches.
Mob WOD is just the supple leopard book and other foam rolling type work in a video.

I like romwod the most, but it's a long term results type program. You will really start to notice things after about 3 months and the flexibilty in creases will stay in the long term.

Doing my daily romwod also used to make me able to recover from high training load much better than I do now with foam rolling and targetted stretching for problem areas.

I've been using romwod, well just started last week. It's pretty decent for me in that it reminds me of yoga in a way and it's very relaxing. I like the fact I can do it from home as I can't get to yoga classes at the moment.
Personally I think mixing a stretching routine and a mobility routine goes very well for recovery and relaxing. That's something I have done daily for a good while, and I have followed starrets work also, of which I also incorporate.
So in the end I would say, if it keeps you consistent and it's affordable, romwod is a decent option, but I would also reccomend some other mobility work as well, alternatively you could follow it for a while, come up with your own routine specific to your needs and go from there. If you really wanted to go that route it can be useful to write down what you will do each day of the week, for example, Monday- quad smash, groin stretches, lying spinal twists, then Tuesday have select another area and work your way through your body during the week.
All the best.

I use ROMWOD pretty regularly for general purposes. If I'm having any issues, then I dig into Starrett's vault of knowledge and address it.

Glad I came across this thread. I just signed up for ROMWOD's free trial. We'll see how it goes. Being a bigger dude, my flexibility is sorely lacking and such.

A question though, would this be useful to use before a lifting session or E session or afterwards?

Just finished Day 1 of the Welcome ROMWOD. Holy cow, I can tell this will benefit me in the future with flexibility and more. Glad I did this and I am looking forward to day 2.

Personally I wouldn't use it as a warm up, mainly because if I stretch a lot prior to lifting, for me, it just doesn't feel right. they actually say somewhere on their site it should performed cold, not just before or right after a workout but as a session on its own. I've found it great right before bed or just after work if the time is there. This all being said, it may work well for you, I have a few friends that prefer to stretch as well as perform dynamic rom work prior to lifting and it seems to work well for them.

Been doing both programs back to back for about a week now. I plan on continuing.
