20171125:
8 mile coupon ruck (switched out a 55# sandbag every eight minutes with the wife) plus 30# ruck plate. Just over 2:35. Then two miles of running around the shopping center with our rucks on. 10 miles for our tenth anniversary.

Ankle was bugging me a bit so a little R&R the past few days. Felt good today so decided to get a workout in.

Sandbag workout wearing a 30# ruck and using a ~55# sandbag. Something new I'm looking at doing. Did the following, rest as needed, not sure what the total time was for me though.

Squats (bag on back) x50
Deadlifts x40
Alternating Lunges x30 (bag on back)
Cleans x20
Man Makers x10
Cleans x20
Alternating Lunges x30
Deadlifts x40
Squats x50

Phew.

90 minutes at the climbing gym. Just fun with the family and friends. Lats and forearms are sore today.

Max strength session. Testing out a cluster I would like to roll with for my next training block, I like it.
**Pull-Ups (BW only) x6/4/5 (rep goal 15).
**Dips (BW only) x12/10/8 (rep goal 30 - progressing to weighted).
**Sumo Deadlifts 225x5

100 swings with the 24kg later on tonight.

20171209:
5 mile ruck with 45#, 1:25:10.

Then shot home and did some PT with my 45# ruck and pull up bar. Decided to try ascending ladders today for fun, since I have no real dedicated SE protocol this block. 1-5 with bodyweight pull ups, ruck push ups (x2), and ruck overhead squats (x2). I was aiming for three to four sets but the left hand has a callus that feels close to tearing so called it quits after two. Total of 30 pull-ups, 60 push ups, and 60 overhead squats.

If the hand is up for it - 100 swings with 24kg tonight before my wife's work Christmas party.

I love to exercise before parties. It sets me in the right mood since I don't drink.. Less boring :) I'd guess

Max strength session. Pull-ups with bodyweight (7/5/4/4 - 20 total reps), dips with BW+10 (10/7/8 - 25 total reps), sumo deadlift 235x5. Swings with 24kg tonight.

Sandbag workout. Starting to like these. Short but sweet workout with 60# sandbag.

10-1 descending ladder of push ups to drags, cleans, and front squats. Total of 55 each in 22:04.

I liked the push ups to drags, first time trying them out. According to the wife I do them the "hard way" (I thought this was the right way to do it, but she showed me otherwise). After I do the push-up, I use the arm on the same side of the sandbag to drag it through, then basically lateral bear crawl around it to do it on the other side. Apparently most folks just pull it through with the other hand and leave it at that. The cleans and front squats were good.

Definitely plan on devoting a consistent strength-endurance day to sandbag work next block.
