Ross' GPP 1:
5x rounds of:
30 sec Burpees
30 sec Jumping Jack's
30 sec high knee dumbbell press
30 sec KB swing (50lbs), 2 handed

I subbed the KB swing in for shadow boxing.

The high knee dumbbell press is some goofy-ass Jane Fonda shit.

That was a long 10 minutes...

Both the 800s and the 50s I ran as fast as I could. So, do all 4x 800s, resting 90 sec between each one, then all 4x 50s, with the rest being walking back to the start.

I really thing that my 800m course is long. My ego wont let me believe those times...
Oh.. I see.. It though it was like Anaerobic Capacity, but it is not. This one is no joke. Ross doesn't joke.. Cheers :)

So, after much debate, I pulled the plug on my current Zulu cycle. Trying to fit the logistics of 4x lifting sessions and 3-4x conditioning sessions per week was a bridge too far, as my life OPTEMPO has increased. I was bummed about this, since I've been on this template/cluster since January, and its freaking amazing.

I know lots of people on this site combine lifting and conditioning into one workout, but I hate that so much.

I'm gonna do the Mass template from TBII, 2x HIC and 1x LSS. I've held off on doing one of the 3x per week TB templates because I don't want to dump either bench or OHP. As a compromise, I'm doing WPU, OHP, squat, and hand-release pushups. HRPU are on the new Army PT test, which is a bonus. I may add in 1x work set of deads on future lifting days.

Mass 1.1

Pullups (BW) 4 sets x 6 reps
OHP (120) 4 sets x 6 reps
Squats (225) 4 sets x 6 reps
HRPU 4 sets x 15 reps

This workout felt hard. Since this is the first workout of the cycle, this worries me; first workout in the cycle usually feels easy.

Mass 1.2
Chinups (BW) 6 reps x 4 sets
OHP (120) 6x4
Squats (225) 6x4
HRPU 15 reps x 4 sets

The squats and pushups were rough. Putting the squats later in the workout has helped with me being a little more pliable when I do them.
