Mini-Block 3
Week 1
Day 8

Conditioning
Tempo Run

20:11 mins
2.37 mi
170 average HR

Mobility
ROMWOD

Notes
-Last couple times I've done this workout it's been brutally hard. This one was a bit more manageable, how they were before. I realized this was for two reasons. 1. Securing my HRM better so it doesn't slide down my lats and give me funky readings, and 2. Actually doing a damn warmup. Lesson learned.

-Tomorrow will be my first decent weights in months.

Week 2
Day 3

Conditioning HIC
Hill Sprints
x8

Mobility
ROMWOD

Notes
-This actually went really well. Cut about a minute off my time from last week. Roughly 22 to 21. Felt strong and fast the whole time instead of worn out like last week.

Good article. Reads exactly like Black+Op protocol.

Get as strong as you can (not necessarily bigger)
Sprint based/anaerobic trg 2-3 x week
Be able to work or run for more than 40 minutes at a time occasionally.

I agree with you probably depends on the type of Operator. An SAS or Green guy might be doing almost the opposite.

Mini-Block 3
Week 2
Day 4

Conditioning HIC
Connaught Range 10 to 1
15:15

Mobility
ROMWOD

Notes
-First time doing this HIC. Short and sweet, but deceptively brutal. I pace somewhat during any conditioning. On this one my sprints were balls to the wall every time. That's part of what I liked about it.
-I'm falling off the M|WOD train. I just don't enjoy it half as much as ROMWOD. Seeing some pretty significant improvements with my ROMWOD poses.

Day 5

Strength 85% of TM
Agile 8
10 box jumps

SQ: 3x5@260
WPU: 3x5@85
PP: 3x5@140

Mobility

Notes
-5@85% I've always considered the most challenging set. I've had a lot of issues with my squat in the last 6 months or so. Took a 3 month reset with decreased loads. This block I'm finally back up to a 90% TM. So that all being said, squats today were a CAAAAKEWALK. I could have done 20 of them. Looks like the reset worked like a charm. Big thanks to JMadd for recommending it. I took my one step back. Next block I begin my two+ steps forward.

The best feeling in the world is after a reset closing in on your old training weight and having it feel super easy. Nicely done.
