Block is done. Taking few days off. I will do another Fighter HT following by Spring BB most likely. Seems like I am lacking HIC this year... Well.. just enjoying HT templates a lot. Will catch up with conditioning in the fall.

Cheers mate! Yes, those sets with 8 reps really getting me to a good place.. I am thinking of getting to classic Fighter with decent conditioning after BB.. Will see! How’s your training going? Hope we will do base building around same time again :)

True! That’s awesome that you are having fun with it! I reckon we will end up on the same bb path, I believe I will indefinitely run 2 base builds a year.

Training is going well, I’m just bouncing back from a few injuries, my Achilles from 2023 is just about fully healed, I had a hand issue recently that I’ve been told to stop any grip and pull work until I get reviewed (next Wednesday), but those things aside I’m actually going pretty well. I’m just running standard OP/IA (running a pretty conservative T max at 80% for now) but I am subbing lifts out every 2 cycles. So OHP is replacing Dips this coming block. Over time I want to build towards cycling in more unilateral work, one because it’s fun, 2, I just feel like there’s a lot of good benefits, mobility and recovery wise.

Sorry to hear about your injuries.. Hope you fully recover fast enough..

Honestly, 80% TM has been my sweet spot for a while. It really keeps me fresh enough for everything else and I don’t need to take whole week off between blocks.

Unilateral movements is a gift from lifting gods. It saved me numerous times. Like now I am doing OA rings rows.. what a wonder!

I’m thinking simple SE for BB: Chins, Dips, and Bulgarian Squats. Rings rollouts for a finisher here and there..

Yea I think I will. It’s been a rough couple of years outside of training so I think some of those life stressors definitely had a bit to do with it, and funnily enough as all of that is slowly coming to an end, the injuries seem to be healing as well which is good.

True! 80% seems to great for me as well so far, I’m on day 6 of a Deload today and am actually feeling pretty good so I’ll probably start my next block tomorrow.
That is so good about the OA ring rows, I used to do them a lot pre TB, this one of the movements I want to bring back, that, and OA bench and look to include some of the lifts from infinite intensity. Even DB Lunges and step ups once my hand is given the all clear.

That sounds like a great idea for SE. I like to lee it simple myself, and Bulgarians are always a great go to!

I’ve been using a little more flat running over the last couple of blocks as opposed to just hills which has also been nice as opposed to just running apex hills….though apex is forever my favorite HIC lol.

Also, rollouts are the best!
