Great little clip from JRE, Dr Andy Gilpin talks about why carbs are important for anyone involved in high intensity exercise. I'm doing a little more digging into Gilpin, but so far really liking what this dude is putting out:

Also, all that jazz about "Old time farm boy strength".. People have used to lived on grain based nutrition with great level of strength and overall health for decades. And we are having meat- geterian vibe nowadays..Tyr0331 wrote:He’s talked about this a few times with different people really made me reconsider my dietBlackPyjamas wrote:Great little clip from JRE, Dr Andy Gilpin talks about why carbs are important for anyone involved in high intensity exercise. Re: Carbs for HIC...Again!!
I watched a documentary on wheat recently. I think wheat wasn’t bad a hundred years ago, but now it’s completely different with little to no nutrition. Sounded like a lot of fluff mixed in with what I have read to be facts, but bottom line is food today is a lot different than in the past. Think about it. We have to pay extra for our food not to be sprayed with pesticides..Barkadion wrote:Also, all that jazz about "Old time farm boy strength".. Agree. Also soil has been depleting. And indeed the shitty situation with meat production. Antibiotics, steroids, hormones, and all that jazz.. You see.. we all will die of cancer probably..
That is kinda off the topic but I am trying to move away from the meats. Red meats at least as a first step..

There are a few good sources for meat in the US that will ship. But you’re going to pay good money. I try to harvest enough myself to last atleast the winterBarkadion wrote:Tyr0331 wrote:I watched a documentary on wheat recently.
