The Ageless Athlete himself is still living up to his name taking out the IBJJF No-Gi 2019 Blue belt, Master 4 division, becoming the Absolute world champ.
Knowing he’s a bit too modest to boast, I thought it would be nice for the members of the TB forum to pass on a congratulations to the now reigning world champ!
Congrats Jim, for a well hard earned fantastic result. What a way to start rounding out the year into the holiday season.

It ain't what you don’t know that gets you into trouble.
It's what you know for sure that just ain’t so.

No-Gi Worlds Win!!!
Hi TBers!
I apologize that I've been MIA for far too long. But as Adski mentioned, I've been busy with some pretty cool stuff! Last Sunday I competed at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship. I am a medium heavy (I weighed in at 180) I won the open class (Mast 4, blue belt), defeating an Ultra Heavy, Super Heavy, and Heavyweight along the way (two of those guys took first in their weight classes). Let's not overestimate the significance of an old, blue belt world championship, but it's about the the best I can do at this stage in my BJJ development.
Anyway, I am right now actively working on a short book outlining my strength and conditioning approach to prepare for this sort of event. I'll keep you all posted on that.
In the meantime, don't be afraid to hit me with any questions.
I hope you are all well, and still getting after it.
Some of you people might find this interesting, a podcast where I talk about BJJ and the nature of human consciousness: https://kazingram.com/2019/12/04/human- ... es-madden/
