My head tells me Floyd can win this in his sleep, but my gut tells me there's going to be an upset....
Thoughts? Opinions?

Mayweather is going to win in a boxing match because he's a boxer. Just like Phelps would swim laps around a water polo player.
McGregor's hope is that Mayweather is arrogant enough to not take his training 100% seriously because of that fact and has lost a step to age.

Mayweather wins it 999/1000. McGregor is bigger and a southpaw, which are advantages. The one way McGregor can win is throwing a karate stance/look that Mayweather is not used to and possibly clip him. But Mayweather will adjust very quickly and likely out point McGregor easily.
I wholeheartedly disagree with the examples that this is like a figure skater playing Wayne Gretzky in hockey, and others of a similar ilk. McGregor trains boxing as a part of MMA. And not leisurely, but likely every training day. He doesn't have near the boxing skills that Mayweather has, but McGregor trains in boxing. He knows how to box.
Back in the day Randy Couture grappled one of the greats of that time in BJJ, Jacare. I thought Randy would get murdered, but he stalemated Jacare for the duration of the bout. I think that that is a relevant example.

Yup I agree with this too. I am certain Mayweather takes it, but McG is enough of a wildcard to make me want to tune in.

If Mayweather employs his usual jab and run strategy, McGregor is going to lose. It's a foregone conclusion.
If Mayweather gets sloppy or decides to change his strategy up, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see McGregor land a knockout punch.
I'm taking Floyd to win...
But I may put some cash down on the 9:1 odds on McGregor

The closer we get to the fight, the more I'm starting to think McGregor doesn't stand a chance. The one thing I'm afraid of is Mayweather pulling an Aldo, rushing in to punish McGregor and getting caught. But then Mayweather's been around for a long time and I don't really see him making that mistake!

i'm starting to agree....
i was watching his boxing sparring with chris van heerden and conor seems happy to engage in mostly normal boxing style. i thought his play would be to give mayweather different looks, but that doesn't look to be the case.

Holy crap. I did not see this. Unless Connie's playing some 4d trump style chess (appear weak to Mayweather)....I don't think he stands a chance now.

Dana White posted some of McGregors sparring with former two-time world boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi.
