I'm currently using OMOB with SQ, BP, DL, OHP but I'll soon be starting Operator so that I can get more conditioning in my plan. I'm begrudgingly thinking of dropping OHP, and you're "rule" no. 5 that you set out in the beginning of your log about switching between BP & OHP has intrigued me - how did that work out for you? Would you recommend it, or did you find that your progress with OHP went too far backwards when you concentrated on BP and vice versa?

Any feedback welcome.

I've copied your rule below for reference :

5. My plan (and tell me if this doesn't make sense) is to do forced progression until I can't hit my reps anymore. Then I'll switch BP for OHP, start OHP at a 90%TM and do the same (force progression until I can't progress anymore). Then I'll switch back to BP. When I can't hit WCU reps, I'll switch to either bodyweight work or weighted pull-ups, progress awhile, and then switch back. I'll keep SQ and DL in the cluster and just reset them as needed
Welcome to the forum! In addition to Mikhou's plan, here's another option that'll allow you to bench and OH press every week:

Option #1 in particular.
HI Aelian, thanks for that link. I had read that a while back, but forgot about it. Unfortunately the way my public gym is set out it wont be easy to carry this out (treadmills upstairs, weights downstairs). I could possibly try it with Kettlebell Shoulder Press though. I'll keep this in my back pocket and try it at some point as well.

Cheers!

Hey guys. I'm back. As I mentioned a post or two ago, I had run a couple of weeks of another program that wasn't high frequency, and it didn't go well for me. Then I left on a 10 day business trip. So....today was the first day back, and I am running Op I/A from TB2. Because the other program didn't work so well for me and because of my 10 days off, I am resetting SQ, BP,and WCU by 10%. I'll leave DL where it was because I only run it 1x/wk and I hadn't maxed out my forced progression yet. If it run into problems I'll reset. I am forcing progression on OHP and Barbell rows as I've got room to do so there. So today was as follows:

OHP - 4x5 @ 43.7 kg
SQ - 4x5 @ 85.5 kg
Barbell rows - 4x5 @ 60.5 kg
Farmer's walks - 2 x 100 yards @ 22.5 kg/hand

Even though I reset a lot, it was a tough day. I always find that after some time off, after my first workout, my legs feel like jelly. I'm sure that things will kick into gear after this. (And if I ever talk about straying from TB again, somebody give me an online punch in the face!) :-)

Thanks. I was hoping to hit 55 or 60 on the first set, but after doing DLs, my grip gave out on me! Ha!

Yesterday - Rest day

Today
OHP - 5x4 @ 46.5 kg
SQ - 5x4 @ 91.5 kg
Barbell row - 5x4 @ 64.9 kg
KB swings - 18 kg x 100 (55, 25, 20)

My 11-year old son joined me during my barbell rows. He used a couple of light dumbbells and then we did KB swings together with him swinging a light plate for an adjustable dumbbell. It was so fun having him there that I'm sure that I could have done more than 55 on the first set, but I'm slowly working up that first set by adding 5 each session. :D
