Warmup 3 rounds
5x Kb Goblet Squat 16kg
5x haloes KB 16kg
5 x 1 Leg glute bridge ea side
24 kg Kettlebell Swings
10L , 10R ea side alternate for 5 rounds= 100 Total reps
Time: 2:54
24kg Kettlebell Turkish Getups
5x1 ea side = 10 total reps
Time:4:05
ROMWOD(Short)
Well I easily ticked off the standard for the 24kg Kettlebell. My fitness came back pretty quick from last years S&S focus. Time to add the 32kg in for a bit before swapping to fighter + a finisher. I have dropped the running while I work on the tightness in my calf and knee issues. I might ease back in with bike riding and swimming in the future, but I might have to give running miss for a while.

Tweaked my upper right mid back at work somehow so today was a struggle. Just a workout to get some blood flowing to the area.

Just back from 2 weeks off due to a rib and shoulder injury.
I am now over in Bali Indonesia training Bjj at Bali MMA.
Yesterday’s training.
Bjj gi morning 1030-1200
Working side control escapes and other movements in reaction to the other person.
Various 3 min rounds of the above.
Shark tank guard passing of higher belts in the middle.
3x5 min rounds of rolling.
I will be honest and say the heat murdered me over here and I was struggling big time.
Today’s training
Bjj No gi
Start with 3 rounds of takedowns, 10 each alternating between each other. Adding is opponent escaping back to feet.
8x5 min rolling with 1 min rest between rounds.
I managed this better than yesterday with the heat and even hit a few subs with a new guy.
I walked away in much better shape from todays session and have tomorrow off to look forward to

Today’s Training
Morning BJJ Gi 1030-1200
Working on hitchhiker escape and omoplatas.
Various rounds of halfguard, guard etc with various partners.
Drilling omoplata setup from collar/cuff.
3x5 mins rolling.
I will try and make it in for the arvo session today depending on how I feel. Today was much better all round but I am guessing that was due to eating and me approaching the rolls in a cruiser manner.
No pics yet but I will try and add some as I keep training. It is definitely a good place to train.

Today’s 2nd training
Bjj gi evening 1800-1930
Worked on side control attacks with various rounds alt top/bottom after 2 mins.
Focus on gi chokes
1.passing own gi around the neck and moving around to other side for choke.
2.using opponents gi to pass under arm for cross face and then move to knee ride and baseball bat choke.
3x5 min rolling
It was a good session to make and I loved those two chokes above as my gi choke game sucks. I will definitely be adding these in. I wasn’t sure of the exact name so I wrote them how I will remember them.

Worked on ankle picks,standing guard pass,side control to mounted triangle and single leg takedown.
Finished up with 3x5 min rounds from standing.

Various sweeps and collar chokes
Counter shrimp and regain guard with straight ankle lock.
Counter de la riva to rolling toe hold
