It is bilateral version of landmine press. Viking Landmine press. I use it in place of OHP for my shoulder sake. Basically, it is landmine with attachment that let you use 2 hands for pressing.

Hmm, that is pretty cool. When you determined a 1rm for that lift, did you do the way you would for bench, squat, etc? I was thinking about trying the landmine press (regular) just to test it out and see how it goes. I am wondering if it'd a less strain on the back?

Yes, I got to comfortable 3 reps max at the time of testing. But I had shoulder on fire at the time. So, it was guesstimate in a way.

There is a much less strain in the lower back and in the sfoulder. I even use parallel grip to make it less shoulder compromising. But you still work you whole body and core.

I am using the regular landmine press as a substitute for bench press. I am only one workout in so far but nil complaints.
I only used 20 kg for 5x5 each side and I was pleasantly sore through the chest and shoulder girdle.
No shoulder pain following which was the main reason I subbed it in.

I originally thought I would sub it out after one block, but I think I might keep it and see how things go.
My conservative max to start was a hard 40 kg(Half Bodyweight).
