Testing day for my next cycle
Backsquat 140kg x1
1 Arm Landmine Press 40 kg x1 ea side
Weighted Pullups 35kg x 1
I am looking at employing OP I/A and an 80% percent training max on my squat. It will pretty much be the OWT, but I may rotate the Landmine press out after a cycle or two.
I will use higher maxes on my upper body lifts.
I am using the 1 Arm Landmine press as my upper body press to see how it affects my left shoulder which is having some issues with bench pressing. Cheers to Barkadion for the idea
I will force progress by precentage and will take a few days to reset after every 9 sessions.
The following will be my OP I/A cycle percentages:
Back Squat 80%TM 112kg
75% 85kg 80% 90kg 90% 100kg
1 Arm Landmine Press 32kg
75% 25kg 80% 30kg 90% 35kg
Weighted Pullups 80% 110kg (Including BW)
75% 5kg 80% 10kg 90% 15kg (Weight added)
I will use HIC /Core Finishers to get some extra conditioning in.
Think Magic 50 and Overhead carries/Farmers walks for distance.
I will try and get a 30 min+run/walk in as able.
BJJ is still my focus and I will prioritise class attendance.

Toaday's Training
HIC
3x800m Intervals
Interval pace at approx 4 mins
250m walk between intervals
First time I have run intervals in a while and I decided to head out in 30+ degree heat.
The intervals weren't too bad, but my pace was a bit slow. I am still feeling the DOMS from sunday's testing.
I will hopefully hit 1 run based HIC/LSS each week or so during this block.
No BJJ this week, but hopefully No GI/Wrestling tomorrow.

Today's Morning Training
BJJ Gi 1000-1100 Open Mat
1 hour solid rolling with a blue belt at my gym.
Nice easy technical roll which involved me attempting to pass his open guard repeatedly.
I tried my usual pressure passing style and really enjoyed the roll.

Second session for today

Back Squat 85kg 5x5
Weighted Pullups 5 kg 5x5
1 arm Landmine Press 20kg 5x5
Good Strength Session today. I decided to push the 5x5 on all lifts as I will probably take tomorrow completely off.
I alternated exercises as I went in a circuit style fashion to maximize recovery.
Overall great second session for the day. No finisher due to earlier BJJ but I was tempted to hit some sprints or the rower.

Today's Training
Fun Walk
30 min Walk with 20kg Weightvest and boots
Every 6 mins do 20 Walking lunges.
100 Total lunges with the added 20kg weightvest
Nice Little loaded march today. I decided to add the lunges in for some fun.
I also used it as a chance to check out my old army work boots for hot spots.
I am back on nightshift starting tonight. Doing 9 nights straight so my training wil probably suffer.
I will try and get 1 TB Op I/A session in every 3 days, but I need to make up some BJJ sessions after the xmas/newyears break.

Today's Training (Last training Session for 2017)
General Warmup
Back Squat 90kg 3x5
Weighted Pullup 10kg 5x5
1 Arm Landmine Press 25kg 5x5 ea side
Done in circuit fashion. I only did 3x5 Sets of squats at my working weight and did two sets to warm up with the other exercises.
All movements felt good and stable, however special mention to the squats. I enjoy the lighter weight as it is allowing me to regroove my squats. I was only hitting parralel, but they felt very even and stable.
I will hit a HIC tomorrow. It will either be 800m intervals or Magic 50 and some farmers walks or similar before work.

Magic 50 16kg Kettlebell
5x 1 arm snatch ea side
5x 1 Arm Swing ea side
10 x Burpees
x 5 rounds, 1 min rest between rounds
Great little session to tick the HIC box off and to not go to hard while on Nightshift.
First 3 rounds all Burpees were unbroken.
Last 2 rounds done in 2 sets of 5, with 5 breaths between sets.
Slight tweak in upper back, l side so I skipped and loaded carries.
