1/2/18
Block#10, OWT(4) OP
(3-10% addition to the Block#9 TM)
Week#6, Tuesday (95%)

Lifts
SSB Squat - 2x2, 225, 1x3, 235
VLP - 2x2, 190, 1x5, 200
Chins - 2x2, 60, 1x1, 70

Notes
*Tested with current TM - red color.
**WPU was a struggle. BUT I was able to jump on to almost 5% WPU TM increase with this block without realizing it (aimed for 2-3%). Calories surplus and all that holiday overeating. I feel really good about the numbers!
***I don't feel like testing DL since I pulled 96% of my current TM with the testing in previous block. I'd say I am ready for forced progression. I might play with Trap Bar a little since I am switching to it for this year pulls.
****I am reintroducing BP since my shoulder feels better. I am not sure if I start with floor press/board press or with classic BP and conservative TM. There is always a "fear" of the lift after the injury. Embrace the suck with this one.

Very good tips on preventing low back pain with benching from De-Franco. I always struggle with proper BP set-up :(

Good old interview with JW.. Good tips on issues with pressing and with training overall..

Notes
*I am planning to do little more tests tomorrow. Floor Press, some Trap bar pulls, and maybe some new accessories/prehabs that I will be doing this year.
**Will be looking into ROMWOD a bit as well.
***There might be few more random test/try days following by 1-2 weeks off.

Block#10, OWT(4) OP
(3-10% addition to the Block#9 TM)
Week#6, Friday (95%)

Did some testing.
FP, BP, BW Chins, Sit-Ups, TBDL, Stew Smith's Light Weight Shoulder Workout.

Notes
- I think I'll go with BP. Should be good to get the technique back where it belongs considering OWT percentage. I didn't touch the chest with the testing. I will need to break some psychological "fear" of killing the shoulder. Will take some time patience, and frustration, though.
- TBDL is completely different animal. I haven't done it for years. I've worked up to 80% of conventional DL numbers and called it a day. Fat grip of my trap bar adds some flavor to it. This one will take time to get comfortable as well.
- Stew Smith's shoulder drill is a killer. Seriously.
- I am ready for a break now.. Feeling like a broken machine after OWT
