Aerobic vs Anaerobic Intervals

Post by HydraZ »

I have TB2, and in the chapter "Incorporating other conditioning sessions", K. Black says that for aerobic intervals one should have sufficient rest, and for anaerobic intervals, insufficient rest. However, wouldn't the opposite be true? If you're insufficiently rested, wouldn't your body be forced to rely on your aerobic system during the interval? And wouldn't sufficient rest allow your anaerobic systems time to recover so they could be used again?

Is this a typo in the book or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum, why don't you head over to the Member's Introduction thread and tell us a little bit about yourself:

Great read actually. One of those “teach yourself to fish” articles.
It ain't what you don’t know that gets you into trouble.
It's what you know for sure that just ain’t so.

Thank you for this. The moles of ATP per minute chart was something I've been looking for a while now.
