Started 2020 with a heavy cold, so cardio has been lacking this week. Think I will continue with the SE for this week, then repeat it next week to get the LSS/LSD in.

Switching job next week, and to ger the shifts to line up with my new partner I have some extra freerime on monday and tuesday

E
30 min row

Two collegues was testing their 1rm strict overhead press when I got to the gym. I haven’t done a heavy strict overhead press with a bar in 3-4 years, så stupidly enough I had to try. We have a whiteboard on the wall with the Top 5 on a bunch of lifts, various distances of running/rowing, max rep pullups/pushups etc, and two less then big collegues had lifted 70 kg, så I had to beat them atleast. Warmed up, and got a 85 kg 1rm. Strained something in my upper, middle and lower trapezius on the left side, and now I’m stiffer than the o-bar I lifted with.. I never learn...

Next week it’s 3 rounds/50 reps. Based on today, I think that will be a long workout

E, LSS/LSD

40 min running. Ran outside today, can’t stand the treasmill. Around 0 degrees, snowy road.

It actually felt really good to run today. I can’t remember the last time I had that feeling. I can feel tht a couple of weeks with aerobic training has had an effect!

Random notes to self (but others may feel free to comment):

- haven’t squatted since spring 2014 because of the back injury. But since I now can do 50 unbroken KB-swings with 24 kg without pain, I’m thinking of maybe incorporating them after next week. Back squats isn’t for me, but maybe front squats. I don’t have the guts to go for a 1rm tho, if I incorporate them it will be on the light side, and a slow buildup
- I still feel really good after the running today! It’s a really good feeling
- when I’m done with basebuildig I’m lening towards Black Operator I/A. My schedule doesn’t allow 3 non-consecutive strength workouts at the gym pr week. It’s a choice between O I/A and Fighter
