Basebuild Week 7
Strength session 2

Bench press 70kg 3x5
Back Squat 70kg 3x5
Deadlift 10kg 1x5
Shoulder complex 2.5kg

Work is doing it's best to screw with my training so I just got the bare minimum in today. The plan is BJJ in to yoga if all goes well tomorrow.
I will probably miss a HIC this week, but BJJ is sometimes close enough depending on my training partner.

You're still doing what you can, that's the most important. There will never be a perfect plan you can adhere to every single day. Even if we can only get in 80% of the work, that's still 80% more than if we skipped the session waiting for a better day.

@grouchyjarhead (quotes still don't work unfortunately)

Speaking of not perfect I have decided to cut the last week of base build short to line my training back up as per the template.
I have nightshift next week and now is the perfect time to switch to get the next 4 months aligned correctly. Add to the fact we are back in lockdown in my state here in Australia so BJJ may be off the cards for a bit.

I am looking forward to running that basebuilding template again in the future. EVen with the missed sessions it has probably been my favourite basebuild since I started TB.

OP I/A Black Continuation
Week 1 Strength Session 1

Bench press 4x5 70 kg (1 set at 75kg but was too heavy for a first week)
Squat 4x5 70kg
Weighted Pullups 3x5 5kg

Shoulder complex 2.5kg
Plank (1min) & Shank (Superman 30 secs)

Cooldown stretching and 30 min family walk

I have skipped my last week of base building to begin continuation to get everything in line with my work roster.
Today's strength training felt really good and was at the perfect weight to ease back into proper OP I/A.
I will keep things lighter so I can get my conditioning, BJJ and recovery in. With a short return to covid lockdown in my state, there will be no BJJ on the cards tomorrow so no combined Strength and HIC today. I will do some grappling dummy work pre/post HIC just to get the body moving. Hopefully can get back on the mats ASAP.

HIC

600m resets x3
1.2:18
2.2:25
3.2:20

5 min rest between rounds

I ended up do more OT last night, but due to having the day off got some HIC in. It felt good to stretch the legs and hit a decent pace again after base building. I still only probably ran at 85-90% and wanted to ease into the harder running pace. This is one of my favourite HICs and I look forward to doing it more.

OP I/A Black Continuation
Week 1 Strength Session 2

Bench press 3x5 70 kg
Squat 3x5 70kg
Weighted Pullups 3x5 5kg

Shoulder complex 2.5kg

Ice bath

It was a bare minimum day today afetr a lack of sleep last night leading into a very early AM shift. Got my work in and got out.
If all goes well at work tomorrow evening BJJ is back on the cards. I am looking forward to getting back on the mats prior to heading into night shift,
