5 mins Freestyle Jump Rope
1 min shadow box
4 and 2, down to 1 and 5

Note: legs weren’t too bad but a little sluggish at times. I think fighter will be more than welcome after the end of week 3 next week. Personally I feel Op pro would not work well with a op/black setup, at least for me personally. The legs don’t seem to recover as well even though it only has one heavy working set with the deadlift and the squats, I definitely notice my legs not being there as much as usual whether it be hill sprints or jump rope work.
If I were to run this block again I would stick with hybrid conditioning emphasis or run an Op IA block then fighter. Alternatively Op pro or DUP could be turned into an ia block.
I don’t believe I would run it again for 6 weeks though.

LSS Run
35 mins

Note: jumped in the sauna right after for 45 mins. Not a bad little steady run today. Mind is a bit all over the place with a number of things going on. At least training is remaining consistent. Still looking to run fighter next block at this stage. Though now I think about it, base building might not be a bad idea either.

Note: fitness test and a whole lot of running around. The run was very cruisy, so I feel base building might not be as necessary right now as I thought. The switch to fighter will more than likely be on the cards after this block.

Note: lots of sleep dep last night so took things a bit easier volume wise today. One more week to go, then deload. Then Fighter. Grunt cluster with 1 DL day a week option might be the way forward.

Note: starting deload early, haven’t been recovering well due to work/life, I think Hybrid conditioning emphasis in general will be the way forward. Possibly with an infinite intensity detour.

Note: it seems my erectors are a bit bound up still, it might be time for the yearly base building, lay off anything that’s heavy for a while. Given how life is for the foreseeable future, perhaps a regular bb every 6 months might be worth considering.
