Due to holidays/excuses, it took me 8 days to get week 3 of base building done, meaning I'm doing 6 workouts this week, to include "day 6" of week 3 (did that make sense?)

Just ran 60 min; maybe it was the two days of not working out and eating pie, but the run felt great.

Now, on to week 4.

Day one of week 4, did SE 1x50. Felt terrible doing it, but once I was done, I didn't feel "crushed". The mind playing tricks.

Unit PT today at 1500 was do what you feel (yes, I'm a pogue), so I got my 60 minute run in. 1% incline, ~9:50 min miles.

I should be caught up now, since I did 2 workouts today.

Also knocked out 6 sets of 5 pull-ups, GTG style.

Since I ran two days in a row, I did a 60 minute ruck march this morning.

I used a 45lb plate in my MOLLE ruck. For some reason, I just couldn't get comfortable under the ruck today, and I couldn't get a quick enough pace going to get out of breath.

I'm pretty tall (6 ft 2 in), and the MOLLE doesnt really fit me all that well, as the hip pad rides a high when I pull the shoulder straps tight, and my buddy is borrowing my ALICE right now to train for a school. I'm going to mess around with the strap configuration a little bit tonight and try to get this sorted out, as I used to be a pretty strong Rucker.

Also knocked out 6 sets of 5 pull-ups today, GTG.

1x50 SE. Didn't feel too bad.

Messed around with my MOLLE last night, as promised. I was able to raise the shoulder piece higher on the frame, so I'm hoping that will give me a more comfortable rucking experience

Got my 60 min run in this afternoon, did a little over 6 miles.

Did GTG pull-ups, 6 sets of 5.

That finishes up week 4.

I'm down 5 pounds, from 225 to 220, pretty pumped about that.

Ran for 60 minutes near my house. It was a beautiful day, felt great. This is the start of week 5.

Runs like that is most valuable benefit of training. I can't compare it with anything else. Even reaching new PR on lifts. Seriously. :D

Definitely! I'm often stuck running at stupid-dark-thirty or on a treadmill, so when I get a chance to run outside, I take it!

7 sets of 5 pull-ups, GTG.

2x50 SE. Not gonna lie, I've been dreading this workout, and it didn't disappoint. Glad that's over with.
