Just started my first TB phase. Running OP with BB as I'm pretty weak due to 6 months off lifting at an LE academy.
Initial maxes were as follows.
SQ- 265
BP- 255
WPU- 65#
This AM was my first OP session:
SQ 4x5 at 175 (hit 135/155 in a few warm up sets)
BP 4x5 at 185
WPU- 4x5 at 25 (I know it didn't fall in percentage but I was quite sore from a few sets the previous day and wanted minimum effective dose)
After wards I did some farmers walks with KB's/ Overhead carry and front rack carry alternating. Wanted to get some OH stability stuff in for balance. No presses OH just carrying 35# KB.
My main goal is to gain some strength back, and get my SQ up farther away from my BP. Out of balance currently. Doing a BB phase for cardio, as I want to get that done early in the year- I'll need more HIC later on this year for a MIL selection I'll be attending as a reservist.
Starting bodyweight is anywhere from 156-159 or so. 5'6" (and a half!!!!!)

THURS- 30 min LSS and plenty of foam rolling. Sore from squatting.
FRI-
SQ 185x5x5
BP 185x5x5
WPU 25# 5x5
KB Swings 75# 5x10 superset with the pullups
Did KB swings instead of DL because I hadn't maxed my DL yet. Will toss in the DL's next week once I get a max to work with.

Re: AlottaDav intro to TB
Slow first week of training, spent the weekend relaxing.
managed to avoid the urge to train hard- maintaining the LSS E 30min days will be the biggest challenge for me, as I'm used to a GO GO GO mentality. A change of pace is JUST what I need though. Lounging around the house this weekend I seem to noticed the fatigue the weights had done on me as I wanted to be asleep by 8pm each night.
Slept 9 hours FRI and SAT night each- had a nice hike with the HH6 and pup on saturday enjoying some gorgeous weather. Excited to hit the weights again tomorrow. 2 weeks of my LE academy left, then 3 weeks of leave/ moving to different part of the state to begin new job.

Monday Session: WEEK 2 at 75%
SQ: 4x5 at 195 (wanted to do 5 but kept thinking of "minimum effective dose" im learning slow)
Bench: 4x5 195
WPU: 4x5 at30,30,25,25. then hit a max set of BW. (doing WPU's on rings) 30 was a little froggy so I dropped weight.
100# medball "stone" over shoulder. 4 sets of 4- these felt very weak, but I imagine will improve once core strength comes back from squatting.
Later today I'll have about 10 hrs of FTX at the range so I'm sure cadre will add some various field PT.

Re: AlottaDav intro to TB
Reviewed the TB strength book today and realized I have been doing 75% loads when it SHOULD have been 80% loads this week. All good, luckily I have been dumb and doing 5x5 even though the book says take it easy at the start. Hopefully that makes up for it.

45min mobility work thurs PM
FRIDAY AM
SQ- 195, 5x5
BP 195, 5x5

Re: AlottaDav intro to TB
E work was walk/hike with wife and dog.
Hilly terrain, just under 4 miles
Also swam across the river when the dog left his toy across the bank. That counts as a recovery ice bath right?!?

MONDAY OP
SQ- 205 4x5
BP 205 4x5
WPU 25# 5x5
This session was awful due to far too much libations on Saturday.
TUES-
30 min treadmill. 2% incline, 5mph, HR was 131-136 or so. Noticed I was breathing nose only, may try and use that as a marker.
