Black OP block#5, Mean and Lean
(Forced Progression)
Week#3, Monday (90%)

Lifts
SSB Squat - 3x3, 205
BP - 3x3, 200
Chins - 3x3, 35
RI - 2:30-3min

Finisher
Band PA - 2x30, Blue band

Meditation
Breathing, 45min@12:00PM

Notes
*I am back to using belt. Will be using it for 85%+.
**Weight feels good. I have to watch my left side with bench. "Chest up" cue is my ticket to the show. Need to pay attention to it.
***Right elbow is starting sending signals to my brain. I might need to give it a break by substituting pull-ups with rowing for the next block.

Black OP block#5, Mean and Lean
(Forced Progression)
Week#3, Tuesday (90%)

Training
Day off

Meditation
Breathing, 30min@12:00PM

Notes
*I found a hill close to me place. Real woody path with dirt, tree roots, rocks and leaves. Seem to be long one but I need to explore it when it dries out. I hope that it will keep me breathless for the rest of the year starting late summer. Feeling happy :)
**My first attempt to build the sandbag was pathetic. I have to redo the while thing.. Dang!

Hey Bark! A couple questions...

-Where do you buy your bands at? I notice you use them in your routines.

-Also, how's the lean and mean template going?
Get after it!

Hey mate,

- I have bought set of Iron Woody bands while ago based on Ross Enamait recommendation:

https://ironwoodyfitness.com/product-category/bands/
I've been using it for years and years with great success. Highly recommend it.

- M&L is going fine so far. I have to admit that I "miss" squatting 3/week but recovery is much better with M&L. Also, I pushed my forced progression aggressively this block and M&L seems to be ideal approach for jump like that. Well.. so far :)
I am planning to ditch DL for my next block as it will be BB with strength oriented focus.
Overall, I have a feeling that M&L will be my favorite setup once I master it's dynamic and get used to it completely. I am strong believer in benefits of reasonable customization as long as you stay main course ;)

Hope that helps!

Awesome, thanks for the link! Ross is awesome and is an awesome resource for all things fitness/conditioning. Seems like a great guy, too.

That is good to hear. I may go that route for continuation when I finish my base building. Glad it is going well for you. I enjoy reading your log. Keep getting after it.
