Ran 5.14 miles, 48 minutes.

It felt awful. I just felt tired and sore the whole time.

I took on some unexpected responsibilities at work this week, so I only got one workout in.

Last Tuesday I ran 6 miles in 54 minutes. It felt pretty good. I don't think I could have gone much faster, but I could def have gone longer.

Decided I have six weeks until I have relatives visit, so I'll restart my operator I/A cycle.

Bench

Hills today!

Ran 10 repeats. First repeat was 58 seconds, a course PR!

2 and 3 were 60 seconds flat, 4 was 62 seconds, 5 was 64 seconds and the rest were around 65-68 seconds.

I could definitely tell it was my legs getting all latic-acided up that was slowing me down and not my lungs.

APFT today!

Last APFT was 15 October 2016 and my raw score was;
63 push-ups
63 sit-ups
15:30 2-mile

Today's was;
68 push-ups
72 sit-ups
15:13 2-mile

I've only been doing the tactical barbell stuff I've posted in this log for the last 7 months. Base-building first, then operator with a lot of long, slow distance running, then a few weeks of hill sprints mixed in. I'm pretty happy with the results and I hope to get under 15 min in the 2 mile pretty soon.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled Operator I/A.

Meat-Eater 2

10/10x one hand swings with a 50lbs KB
10x Burpees
Rest 60 seconds
Repeat 10x
Time was 30:43.

I was thinking about just doing hills for my HICs this cycle, but it just didn't fit my life today, so rather than doing nothing, I did this one in my backyard. I'm glad I did, it was a smoker.

I think I'm going to try and work through a bunch of the HICs during the remainer of this Operator cycle, keeping one long run per week in the mix.
