Great progress! My own experience is actually that the DL progresses more stubbornly than the SQ. I'm a natural squat in terms of my build, and I do very well on high frequency SQing. None of that is the case for me regarding the DL. This all probably comes to do idiosyncratic factors. In any event, 20lbs improvement on the DL is nothing to sneeze at!
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. Someone on another forum was telling me it was abnormal to have the DL lag behind the squat!
I think most people can DL more than they can squat, but that's not an absolute. My all-time best SQ is much more than my all-time best DL. It depends on how you are built, etc. Moreover, even if you can DL more than you SQ, that doesn't mean that the former will progress any fast than the latter.
