Yesterday - Rest day
Today
Op I/A - Session 1
SQ - 5x5 @ 81.5 kg
BP - 5x5 @ 68.7 kg
WCU - 5x5 @ 69.2 kg
Quarterdeck core
Started a new cycle of Op I/A today. I don't often get in all 5 sets but I wanted to try it so I cut my warm-up a bit short. Right knee (that I have had trouble with in the past) is a little cranky now - not painful, just cranky. I don't know if it was the limited warm-up or the 5 sets when I was doing 4. I'll probably do the full warm-up next time and see if I have time to get in the 5 sets and then see how the knee feels. If it's still cranky, I'll likely drop back to the 4 sets that I was doing.

HIC #8. BOO II
I can always tell when my conditioning is good when I can drop down and hit the burpees with no problem. It's only 45 total over the course of the workout, but they felt good throughout.

Yesterday - Rest day
Today - HIC #12. Speed-endurance ladders
Felt great! I probably could have done another ladder, but I don't want to do too much before deadlift day tomorrow.

Re: mikhou's training log
SE ladders are one of my go-to HIC sessions. I've only done two complete ladders a couple times, and I found that very challenging. That would probably be a bad idea for me too the day before DLing.mikhou wrote:Yesterday - Rest day

Re: mikhou's training log
Op I/A - Session 3
SQ - 5x5 @ 81.5 kg
BP - 5x5 @ 68.7 kg
DL - 3x5 @ 85.5 kg
Core work - 2 rounds of 10 reps each of light RDLs, leg raises, sit-ups, ab roller, and KB side bends
Like everyone else, I move more weight with my DL than anything else. That being said, it's proportionately my weakest lift. It wasn't "hard" today by any means, but I'm always worn out after DL day - even on the 75% week. Just going to take it slow and easy and not progress this one too fast.
