I get out of bed, hit the shower, brush my teeth and get prepared for my day. Mentally I start lining up my tasks and errands, and feel ready to go. Then I sit down and meditate for about 15 minutes and it's like someone's taken the wind out of my sails. I want to just crawl back into bed.
Anyone else experience this? Am I doing something incorrectly?

I've experienced this with meditation before, which is why I use it when I need to wind down, or fall asleep quickly.

It could have something to do with melatonin release during meditation.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14976457
From what I understand it initially increases melatonin, but then after an hour of meditation it decreases.

I'm no expert, but I've heard you can avoid this by meditating with your eyes open zen style.
