Any though on weightlifting shoes?
I'm doing more of high bar squat and I never tried those.
Does it worth it? I know it supposed to help you to be more upright but is there any cons? Will I lose some mobility if I use it?
Thanks

Re: Shoes
I have a pair of Addis powerlifting shoes that I wear for squats (my style is pretty high bar), OHP, and some times when I'm benching (though I'm not sold on that). I really love them for the squats, well worth the $80 I paid. I've had them for three years, and they are in great shape. The sizing runs a bit small - you don't want your foot sliding around in them when you ar squatting a heavy load - so you will feel like your toes are very crowded at first. They broke in fairly quickly, and they fit very nicely now. I would, by the way, never wear these for the deadlift.
I don't think you will lose your mobility as long as you are staying atletic in other ways. I also do a lot of "Third-World" squats and goblet squats barefoot as part of my warm-up and general mobility program.

Re: Shoes
I wear Reebok TR's. Love them. A lot like wearing chucks, but better in my opinion. They don't have an elevated heel though so that may not be what you're looking for.
Re: Shoes
I've been wearing a pair of Asics lift trainers for about 3 years, and like j-madd said about his Adidas, I like them, I think they help the squat, and they were worth the $100 or so that I paid for them. They are nowhere near being ready for retirement.
I went with the Asics because that brand has been my "go-to" running shoe brand (along with Mizuno) and the sizing has always been perfect.
Unlike j-madd, I enjoy deadlifting in my Asics.

Nike Romaleos are the best WL shoes I've ever used. It is build like a tank and It gives you astronaut boots like support
It does helps me front squat and SSB squat and it makes me go to ATG with great feeling of natural move. Also, I one of those guys who tend to hurt their lower back with benching. So, good leg support is very important for me. Nikes R do that for me.
I've had Adidas PL shoes. They are just "OK" from my personal experience. It is collecting dust in my basement now.
Unfortunately, Nikes are more expensive...

I'd say so. I didn't feel any differences from the other Nike sneakers.travman wrote:Do the Romaleos run narrow like Nike running shoes?Barkadion wrote:Nike Romaleos are the best WL shoes I've ever used. It is build like a tank and It gives you astronaut boots like support

You can always use regular shoes and put some plates underneath instead. Old time tricktravman wrote:Alright, that's what I was thinking. I have wider than normal feet. I will have to check out the Adidas shoes. The Nikes are nice, but I think they are out of my budget.
