Re: Long time off the training
Actual data! https://www.t-nation.com/training/tip-what-2-weeks-off-really-does-to-your-body But it's college kids. And, I agree with TBPenguin's observations about aging making it harder to bounce back. Solid article. It's fun to bash T-Nation but they really do put out a lot of great material onc...

Re: Help make Fighter work?
I like to sub in weighted bodyweight exercises and keep the volume at a bare minimum. Have you considered 1 legged squats or 1 legged deadlifts paired with a 1 arm press? You could also add weighted pullups. All of these exercises will have a lower total volume of weight and might even sure up some...

Re: Op I/A MS cluster while training for a backcountry hunt
Finished my first block of Operator I/A and don't think I'll ever switch to another template. On average I took the full two days in between each MS session. I felt more solid on my squats, coming off a Fighter template where you don't hit Strength as frequently. I think more frequency is very impo...

Re: Frustrated
Just stick to forced progression like Mikhou suggests. Retest has its place, when coming back from a long layoff or in between different phases, but in general forced progression is much more efficient. Especially if you're not a rank novice.

Re: HR after BB.
Hello, when you end BB and start for example black protocol. I saw a post of KB saying that for the E sessions, you don't have to look HR anymore, just start adding speed/pressure. Am I right? And for the 5km fast, it says 80-85% max hear rate, but it's okay if I do the max I can? Regards Per...

Re: LE Physical Fitness Test Help/Advice
First off I see no personal attacks in any of Doc's posts. Second, I tend to agree with his assessment, your aerobic output is where you need the most improvement. I gave you advice the first time around based on the premise you only had 2-3 weeks to prepare. Doc alluded to it, but it needs to be ma...

Re: LE Physical Fitness Test Help/Advice
plus 2 days of BJJ per week i have to be honest....i'm starting to feel it a bit question - can i drop one of the fast 5's? i think each are helping me a lot, so i wouldn't want to drop one completely. I would drop BJJ before I dropped a run. You have a very specific goal (PFT performance). I don't...

Re: Thank you K.B! (PR inside)
As a runner, on amateurish level, I did have quite of running under my belt prior to starting TB. Few half marathons and a handful of trail/mud races. Did a BB block to begin with in january, but did not push it, rather did the minimum for the E´s. Began Op+Black and started to get familiar with HI...
