Re: Getting started as an overweight beginner
I want to say this without bruising any ego's but your lifts are not at all impressive, even as a novice or beginner (and a 1 rep max should not be done as a novice / beginner!). Honestly, as a novice or beginner with likely next to no idea of proper form cues for barbell lifts I would avoid them u...

Re: Martial Arts for LEO
Maxrip brings up excellent points, especially in terms of optics. My personal preference is Muay Thai, with a minimal amount of grappling to deal with anything that ends up on the ground. Your specific tasking might affect your preference. I spent my formative years in a filthy zone on footbeat, whe...

Re: Variety in HIC
Hey guys, how do your plan and use variety in HIC training. I started to rotate between Fobbit intervals (bad weather, inside) and Apex hills (doing rather Apex steps in a stadium, due to injury and not be able to sprint now). Do you plan those trainings or just pick one from the vault in the book ...

Re: Confused about 3 vs 6 week cycles
I did read the book cover to cover -- got the TB 1 and 2 kindle package deal and have read both, but admittedly it has been awhile and maybe it is time for a refresher. Totally understand that Starting Strength and linear progression is completely different than frequent sub maximal loading. Just t...

Great job. Interesting to see IF used with TB protocols.

Re: Confused about 3 vs 6 week cycles
You may be using TB but it doesn't sound like you've actually read the book. I say this because it seems like you have zero understanding of the principles behind frequent submaximal lifting along with a peaking- or waved-style structure of training. Everything you ask is spelled out in the book. Re...

Re: Bodyweight Dips and Weighted Chin Ups between Barbell sets
Hello everyone I have a question, hope to find an answer! If I use a minimal template of Front Squat and Overhead Press in a high volume option (such as Gladiator or Operator I/A), can i do some reps of bodyweight dips and weighted Chins between my barbell lifts? of course i will stay well away fro...

Re: Kefir
Does kefir make anyone else sick? started drinking a couple glasses a day, and about 4-5 days in developed strep-like sore throat and some ongoing stomach discomfort. Discontinued, and one day later my throat feels practically normal.

Plank & Shank should be a big help here. Maybe even with a weight vest.HawgN wrote:

I didn't know military service was mandatory in Norway...interesting. Do you have some choice over what trade you get into, how do they place you?
