Re: Barkadion TB Logs

Zulu HT is done! I like this block! Peaking week got me tired, though. I had to drop secondary exercises some days. Doing 6 reps for 75% weeks felt challenging for some reasons.. And 10 reps for both squat and DL?? Ouch... ;) Into deload week now. Holidays deload. ..I am going to binge food and dri...

Re: Eating Rocks

Thanks for the above advice on measuring distance for some of my sprints.

Just finished BB. I'm feeling really good and looking forward to a much deserved cheat meal this evening. Will be running Operator/Black. I'll try to check in periodically but can't make any promises.

Re: Using incline bench instead of flat bench

From a purely athletic standpoint, I would say flat bench press is very low on the priority. In terms of ''pushing'' movements, I'd probably rate it as follow (YMVR): PressĀ > Dips > Incline > Flat. I think a good way to progress could be to cycle through it, say your Flat 1 RM is 300, then you woul...

Using incline bench instead of flat bench

Has anybody ever ran a block with incline bench press instead of traditional flat bench press? I think this could be an interesting approach for those torn between flat bench and OHP.... although there is only a small amount of overlap between the two exercises. The idea came to me today when I was ...

Re: Mass Protocol conditioning sessions when using OMS

Why not both? Activities from "Green" are similar to E sessions while those from "Black" are similar to HIC. So if you're running black do something from Green on your E day and use something from Black on most of the days when doing HIC. If you are LEO or military I'd suggest do...

Re: 2 minute rule

Regarding time in the weight room, this morning's workout (which was operator week 1) took only 23 minutes. I like it. That's real fast....but I bet you got a lot of good quality work in. A tid bit for Knollkopp : I've found that most of my "wasted time" in the gym comes down to doing too...

Re: Eating Rocks

Week 6 Day 2 (of BB) Started to do Connaught 10 to 1's and after 10 burpees and a sprint decided that the easy version 5 to 1's was a better idea. Took me about 6 minutes 30 seconds. I really want to get better at these and was glad nobody was around to see me struggling. I don't have access to a tr...

Re: Medic / first aid drills

Are you military or LEO? One of the BIGGEST things I see when it comes to first aid is officers/Marines/soldiers/sailors etc. NOT being super familiar with everything inside of the IFAK. As a matter of fact, I'm sort of guilty of this myself and will double check my stuff after posting this. So mayb...

Re: Eating Rocks

Week 5 Finished Week 6 Day 1 (MS with Fighter) Completed 4 sets and all 5 reps for my cluster of BO, Squat, and WPU (just bodyweight now at 75% of my max). I did feel a slight pain in my left knee while squatting. Not bad enough to stop me or make me feel like I was in trouble...but enough for me to...
