Re: Protein Bars: the good, bad, & ugly...

I like the Caffeine and Kilos coffee/chocolate bars. They are fairly low in protein though (I think only about 8 g). Plus side is they are pretty healthy and have some caffeine to keep you going. I eat them at work when I am extended as well, though not specifically for the protein content.

Re: I have questions about a TB template with Simple and Sinister

If you invest in a couple of size KB's you would be able to do a lot of the HIC workouts in TB II as well (depending on your conditioning goals).

Re: Ageless Athlete Discussion Thread

S&S is basically a rework of the the Program Minimum in ETK. It is exactly that-a bare bones program. In my opinion, it's great for people being introduced to kettlebells or rehabilitating some injuries but I don't don't believe it has enough to really give you great all around conditioning. If ...

Re: Kettlebell starter set ?

Double KB work gets technical pretty quick. If you are starting out I would go with 20 kg/24 kg single bells. You can always start scaling up your movements (i.e. progress to 1 arm swings then snatches etc).

Re: Ageless Athlete Discussion Thread

Just finished the book-simply outstanding. Most of the concepts could be applied to younger people battling chronic injury/breakdown as well (not just the over 40 crowd). I see so many people around my line of work who were rock star athletes in their teens and 20's but can't manage to develop some ...

KB work with Operator

Hey Folks, I see a lot of people on here talk about incorporating KB swings/snatches as finisher for operator. I am currently 3 weeks into operator (doing the minimum sets) and really enjoying it. I love KB's and I would like to incorporate a KB finisher. Wondering what the expert consensus is for r...

Re: Ageless Athlete - Available NOW!

Just ordered the paperback, can't wait. Approaching 40 years old with almost 20 years of high mileage. Wish I knew what I know now when I was 20 with regard to training.
