Re: Creatine & LISS?
Hey guys, so I just started using creatine. I might be imagining it but I think I'm starting to feel a little heavy on my feet during LISS. Is this a side effect of creatine? One of my main goals is to lose (keep) the weight off and I thought the creatine was supposed to be energizing but it feels ...

Re: Op I/A - How many DL sets to YOU do?
Since making the switch to I/A I deadlift every other session, but there's no set number. I usually just go by how I "feel" and what I have in store the day after. If I have Apex lined up, I'll do one set or skip it and do weighted pull-ups instead. When I'm in the 70-80% range I average a...

Re: Who follows a continuation template?
You might be getting a little too focused on the labels black and green. Both protocols contain HIC and E to varying degrees. Black favors HIC (or any short duration high intensity work) because HIC is more compatible if strength training is a high priority. The body uses the same energy pathways fo...

Re: Alottadav's Goin GREEN
Good point. Goals are to maintain strength primarily. Hopefully increase a little but it's not the main goal I'd like to ideally in 3-4 months be able to run a sub 19:30 5k. Fin swim 1500m in 27min. 20+ pull-ups. 70+ push and sit ups. For a PT test clearly. Barbell training is my favorite but I rea...

Re: Movie/Netflix Recommendation Thread
Saw Mechanic: Resurrection a couple nights ago. Terrible! I'm a big fan of the original (Bronson) and even enjoyed the Statham remake. But Resurrection should've stayed dead. Avoid this one folks.

Re: Squatting 3x/Week Easier Than 2?
Not uncommon. That's the magic of greasing-the-groove. Mind you it only works if you keep things sub-maximal..I don't think it would be as effective if you tried to max out every workout

Re: Couch to Spartan Beast
Can't even come close to topping G2B's excellent post, but I'll add that you might want to include kettlebell-Funruns. KB in a pack, go for an E run, stop and do swings/snatches/goblets every 5-10 mins.

Re: Base building for the weak
Quick question on Strength Endurance I am not even close to a Dr. so what I am describing may be totally wrong in description but happens none the less. I have tried high rep stuff, mainly like Tabata style 20sec on/10 off high pulls with either olympic bars or 24K KB, and the tendons around my elb...
