warm ups for strength and Conditioning

Post by BarneyFife »

Hi,

Just a quick question about warm-ups. What kind of warm-up, if any, should I be doing before LSS work or Strength Endurance work?

I'm 65 years old and about 30 pounds overweight. My resting pulse rate is usually about 78. My goal is to lost 30 pounds and get my resting heart rate to 65 or lower.

I do Chinese Limbering exercises (Joint Rotations mainly) everyday, so I have been using them as a warmup. Does that sound ok? I also do martial art forms for 30 minutes to a hour at least 2xweek. No sparing or bag work right now. I don't have access to a training partner or dojo.

Thanks!

Hey mate,

There is a link to a great article about mobility drills here at forum;

Just google appropriate exercises and go for it. The article is self explanatory.
