I finished a block of Operator this week. It was neither here nor there - I pretty much just maintained strength, which is what I expected given my diet (cut about 3 lbs ) and effort (stuck to the minimums). For my next block I’m going to be training for a half marathon in early December. I’ll also run fighter with front squats, OHP and weighted pull-ups. I’m hoping I’ll still have time for a solid bulk after that, maybe up to +10 lbs.

Half marathon training is going well, I really enjoy the miles. I'm trying to keep up with Fighter template, but unfortunately I've let it slide a few times. One thing I've had success with this month is maintaining weight. I've been really diligant about tracking calories and eating to at least maintenance, and that's been really helpful for my performance (and immune system management, which I've struggled with in the past at high training volumes).

For this next month I'd like to maintain my running schedule and diet plan, but be more adherent with Fighter.

I've fallen off the wagon a bit.

I ran a half marathon in December, and went on 10 days of work travel the very next day. Then came the holidays, then more work travel. Now I'm in a six week stretch of travel, in fact. I've still been working on a few times a week semi-randomly, but I need to 1) be more adherent and 2) follow an actual program. I'm going to start posting again to stay accountable.

Since I won't have consistent access to a gym until the end of March, I'm going to start base building today. My bodyweight cluster will consist of pushups, squats, supermans, planks (for time).

I was adherent to base building the first week, and not at all the second week. I've been traveling nearly continuously since mid-January, and I have another month left. It's extremely cold where I am now, and I work long hours. Excuses, excuses. Going to keep on keeping on...
