Ex40
20min stretching and foam rolling before bed.

Ran with my OSO and set two new PRs: 2:33 plank and 8:40 one mile. I know it's nowhere near perfect PFT standards but I'm glad at what I have accomplished so far. I told him about my shin splints and he recommended that I only do my cardio on the elliptical for the next week.

Just went to practice today and had no other time to workout because I had an exam the next day.

10/28/22
Ex40, 3mi
LSS run on elliptical

Per OSO's orders I did some low-impact cardio. I didn't have to worry about my legs, so I was able to keep a steady pace and focus on proper form. I also brought up the idea of doing hill sprints to my OSO but he recommended that I continue to work on endurance rather than speed work until I can get a sub 17min 2mi.

Was traveling for an away game so, didn't do much intensive exercise other than play for 30min.

10/30/22
rest/recovery

KB presses
KB deadlift

30sec rest in between each exercise

max plank
2x45 sec side planks
full body stretch

Feeling the soreness today(11/2).

I'm going to pt with a lieutenant from the OST office tomorrow.
Depending on how much homework I'm able to finish, I'll do my Ex60 on the elliptical before practice.

Edit: Homework took a long time so didn't do it

Just putting down what I did at pt:

2mi tempo run
Chin-up pyramids with resistance band for upper reps
max plank(2:00), my shoulders were worn out from the pullups

Overall the workout felt really good. Didn't have any problems with my shins. The lieutenant said that she would create a running plan for me so I'll probably count those for my E days.

Been sick so didn't workout much

11/8/22
30sec sprint
1min jog
1min rest

10x

LT created a running plan for me so I'm going to follow that from now on.

11/9/22
Only went to practice
9x3 chin-ups throughout the day(tested recently and can almost do 5!)

11/10/22
35min LSS run

What better way to celebrate the Marine Corps 247th birthday than with a morning run.

I've fallen off my BB workouts but I plan to ease back into them.

Hey guys, it's been a while. I've still been working out, but I've fallen off the TB schedule to focus solely on OCS preparation.

Happy to say that I got accepted and am going to OCS this summer!! Thank you guys for all the tips during my long and arduous journey. Here are my stats now:

chinups: 15
plank: 3:45(for some reason took the longest time to max, just had to get past a mental barrier)
3mi: 25:03

Right now I'm just buckling down until my ship date May 20th. Is there any other tips that you guys can give me? I've just started to get back into running because I've been recovering from a stress fracture in my foot on March 1st. So far no pain or soreness. I've maintained my cardio through non-impact work like the stair master, elliptical, and bike, but want to build up some milage again before OCS.

Also, I've just been doing some MARSOC short cards for calisthetics, and of course stretching everyday with longer sessions on the weekends.
