I had to move one of my sessions forward from next week due to going away on my rest days, That way I can get everything i need done while I have access to a gym and then do some E and HIC whilst away.

Feeling a bit run down on this nightshift, but I have made some poor food choices. Hopefully back on track as of today.

4.2km family hike carrying my son

A bit of a weird training session for yesterday but when you are away on a family holiday you do what you can.
I am away on my days off with family and we ended up doing a reasonably difficult hike and I got the added bonus of carrying my son the whole way. He is somewhere between 15-20kg and while I carried him on my shoulders on the flat portions, the majority of the walk involved carrying him in my arms. It was a steep and reasonably difficult track, but We got it done. It was a bit of fun but I am definitely feeling it in my knees today from the climb back down.

I’ll enjoy 2 days off until I am back into training as normal starting Monday.

For me vacations tend to be more SE/E sessions when I can fit them in. Most of the time I just use it as a deload week and have active fun like you described. That's the best thing to do in my opinion.

I tried going on vacation once while sticking to my schedule and it just made it really inconvenient for the whole family and took away from some of the fun.

Adjust your training around your life, not your life around your training. Keep up the great work!
