Neck training session

Still taking it easy with the neck training, slowly building up volume.
My first exercise is the one I described last time, where I lay on the floor, lift my head an inch, and slowly shake my head side to side in a "no" motion. Never touching the floor, or lifting my head up so much that it becomes easier. Keeping my head as horizontal as possible for the entire set without touching the floor.
I haven't seen any name for this exercise, so I will be naming them "budget iron neck rolls" because it's basically the same resistance pattern as an Iron Neck but for $600 less.
My second neck exercise is for the back of the neck, shown in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04ff_tgZGI0
I'll just call this the "neck bridge hold"

Budget iron neck rolls: 3 minutes on, 1 minute rest, 1 minute 30 seconds on
Neck bridge hold: A mere one minute.

Base building week 8

HIC #10: Short hills

Pushed myself today and did 6 reps of the hill instead of 5. Walk back home was brutal
Also, I am going back to college soon, so I am going to have to find another hill to do HIC on. Shouldn't be a problem as the campus area is very hilly.

Base building week 8

Fighter 90% week, squats only due to time restriction. Will do OHP later this week

Did 5x3 squats with 235 lbs (106.6 kg)

Shooting pain in my ribs flared up after the first set. Felt a little better when I finished the workout.

Gonna start doing a little bit of grip training. Im gonna try to put together a simple routine because every time ive said im gonna do grip training I make it way too complicated and then I don't do it.

My grip finisher is basically gonna be a looong set of dumbbell curls with Fat Gripz Extreme.
I will pick a rep number, somewhere from 50-100.
I will pick up a set of dumbbells and put the Fat Gripz on them.
I will do all the reps in one set WITHOUT LETTING GO of the dumbbells. No matter how long it takes.
Similar to a set of Poundstone curls or 20 rep squats.

Base building Week 8

HIC #10: Short hills

Pushed myself on this today and did 7 reps. My legs were quivering so much and my final sprint didnt even resemble a sprint anymore. It looked like I was doing an RPE 10 walk at that point.

That's the last HIC of Base! My final base workout is Fighter 5x3 @ 90% for the OHP. I'll do it tomorrow and then BB is officially done.

Messed around a bit in the gym today

Pullups: 7, 7, 5, 5
Hanging leg raise to parallel: 5, 5, 5

Pullups and hanging leg raises work the grip pretty nicely without having to do any grip specific work. The pullup bar in my gym is relatively thick too.

Pinch grip farmers walk with 25 lb bumper plates: 30 seconds, 30 seconds rest, 9 seconds
