Nice!!!!

I'm not great with the guillotine, but he ezekiel (especially using the gi skirt from side-control) is one of my go-to submissions.

I've never tried it with the gi skirt, but I watched a youtube video and it looks doable. I may have to try it.

Operator I/A, Session 9/9 (90%)
Squat: 225x5x3
Bench: 200x5x3
Deadlift: 315x2x3

That ends my Operator I/A block. I'm not testing this block, I'll force progression but be very conservative. Everything felt good in my last session except for the Deadlifts. I think I was working too close on the deads to my actual max as opposed to a conservative training max. On the conditioning front, I never made it out for those planned 10 minute post-lifting runs. That was another thing that looked good on paper but in practice, when I'm done lifting, I just want to be done working out entirely and not go for a run. That's why 3 days lifting, 3 days conditioning is way to go for me. Next I'll take a recovery week free from barbells (per Ageless Athlete) and decide on my next block. Probably reg OP or OP I/A Black vanilla or professional.

BJJ: great class this morning taught by brown belt. (1) triangle choke - need to remember to put my right foot on the ground first, shrimp, then knee in his arm and extend; (2) butterfly guard sweep - grab his belt with left hand, post and turn with right, hook his leg with my left leg, sweep; (3) passing guard: as soon as he opens his guard jump to feet with knee between his legs and control his legs, not his lapels. Roll 2 five minutes almost had 2 guillotines. Both guys said afterwards I was so close, one I heard gurgling but he just wouldn't quit and it wasn't tight enough. The problem I have with a failed guillotine though is that when they squirm their head out, they're pretty much in mount. If I'm wrong about this, someone let me know.

I've actually been having good luck lately with guillotines from half-guard. A little trickier to finish, but if you lose it, you are still in a good spot.
