Op I/A Strength Session 90%

Strength session 9 Easy test day

Bulgarian DB Split Squat 60kg total,30kg dumbbells build up to x1 es
Benchpress 90kg x1
Pullup 30kg x1

Bjj gi midday
Using lapel in half guard

I worked up to some easy testing before BJJ. I kept things pretty conservative just to see where I am with these lifts. I will run the last 4 weeks and aim to hit 2-3 reps with similar numbers before maybe swapping out my bench press for a little.

I feel pretty good just using bare minimum reps and numbers for lifting prior to my BJJ training. I might just hit my strength more regularly on training days so I can get a little conditioning in. I have a gym membership card on it's way that will give me access to a heap of gyms in my area. Hopefully that means I can get some more indoor cardio in with the weather causing major issues at the moment

Just the bare minimum today as I am recovering from a quick head cold. I had to skip BJJ due to this also.The weather has been terrible so not much conditioning outside of BJJ has been getting done. Hopefully with a gym membership on the way this can finally change.

5 cooldown walk

10-15min sauna followed by spa

I now have access to a couple quality gyms so will be looking at getting in more conditioning around my strength training. I have been unable to run due to weather and life constraints. The gym has an echoc bike, rowers and ski erg so I will be looking at getting some intervals done on these. I need to work out a time to get some outside running done just to maintain the ability to move over ground fast for distance, but any cardio is better than nothing.

2.Glute bridge x5

Sled push approx 20m forward and back x3

I am enjoying having gym access again. The original plan was for my partner and I to take my son in and get some training in with him there. The gym has a little kids area you can see from the entire gym. It was great until my son managed to houdini his way out by stepping on the child proof gate that released the locking mechanism. I got to finish a shortened workout whilst my partner took him to the park.
