*Week 2 reset*

20170807:

2 mile LSS. This felt really great, especially after a long day. I went 2 miles non stop without walking which is an improvement for me.

20170811:

Took today off after I hurt my back at work today. I do a lot of heavy lifting in a time sensitive environment and I don't always use proper form when lifting like I do at the gym (bad, I know). I felt a lot of tension in my lower back and it just got worse and it hurt to walk. I obviously wasn't going to over do it and run afterwards. Hopefully its a quick fix and I can do some SE tomorrow or go light on it, at least.

So I am back and here as I just started a new Base Building block (8 weeks). I just finished my first fall Rugby season as a B-Side player (not starting) and if there was one thing I was lacking was my aerobic capacity and all around conditioning. Since we don't start practices until January, and playing until March, it is time to start training my weaknesses and priorities.

I am using a Kettlebell SE cluster with Alpha Circuits. My cluster is Swings, Goblet Squats, Single Arm Shoulder Press, KB Deadlift. Most of my E days will be LSS running or some triples and when its time for HIC, it will be mainly sprint based.

Monday-10/30/17-Strength Endurance-3x10

Notes: These felt decent, I may switch around the KB weight a bit or just go lighter all together. I started with I believe was a 25lbs KB.

Tuesday-10/31/17-LSS Run-20 minutes

Notes: Starting slow here as my endurance is shot. This week I am starting with 20 minutes and then will go up by 5 minutes each week for the runs. By hope by the end of the block is 40-45 minutes non stop. Ideally because my a full Rugby half is 40 minutes and a full game is 80 minutes.

Wednesday-November 1st 2017-LSS Run-20 minutes

Notes: Keeping it on the conservative side this week as I start to build it back up. Rough to get going on this one but I gutted through. Feeling good.

Thursday-November 2nd 2017-Recovery Day

Notes: Just a regular day off yesterday. Didn't do too much.

Friday-November 3rd 2017-SE Day (Modified) 2x20

Notes:Was short on time today due to my schedule so I just cranked out 2 rounds of 20 KB Swings and Goblet Squats with the ol' Kettlebell which is 16KGs.
