TB OP I /A Strength

Week 3 Session 2

Back squat
40/60kg x5
85kg x3
100/110/120kg x1

Benchpress
40/60kg x5
75kg x10

I decided to do some conservative testing prior to heading back to work and starting nightshift.

I hit a conservative single on the back squat and was reasonably happy with 120kg for a conservative single. My true 1RM is probably in the 130-140kg range.

I decided to see how many reps I could hit at my body weight of approx 75kg. I was reasonably happy with 10 but would like to aim for 80kg for a set of 10 as my next goal over aiming for a high 1RM.

I will take an easy week to reset before force progressing and getting back into things next week. I will be bringing back weighted pull-ups to my cluster.

I will be aiming for a bit less LSS adding in some more HIC and loaded walks using a pack and vest. I have some plantar fasciitis issues that need a rest for a while.

Yoga for exhausted 4

I have enjoyed the easy week of walks and yoga whilst on nightshift. I am looking forward to getting back to training next week.

TB OP I/A
Strength Session 1

Back squat 70kg 3x5
Benchpress 60kg 5x8
Weighted Pullup 5kg 3x5

I force progressed based off my recent testing of my conservative maxes. I will run another round of OP I/A and try and fit in some more HIC type conditioning. I will probably use mountain bike rides and hiking in place of my usual LSS to let some plantar fasciitis issues settle.

I’ll be aiming for an average of 3 yoga sessions weekly and a possible return to bjj with the upcoming lifting of coved restrictions here in Victoria. I might mix in some Muay Thai if grappling is still limited.
