Welcome to my training log.
I have been suffering from fuckarounditis and have been doing a bit of this, a bit of that, for a while.
Furthermore, I started a new job 1st June 2021, with a much shorter daily commute, and have gained a bit of weight since becoming a father.
I have also discovered that I need a bit of help being accountable with my training regimen at the moment, at least until I get back in the groove. Therefore I have decided to create this training log.
This first post will show my current and past training blocks with the latest at the bottom of this post.
So without further ado, I'm starting Block 1 today with some base building, slightly unconventional.
Block 1: Base Building:
Weeks 1-5:
Mon: AM: Endurance (LSS running, slowly increasing duration). PM: SE: One Arm KB swings 10x10 alternating (5 set each arm) and bodyweight pull-ups
Tues: Endurance (LSS running)
Wed: SE
Thu: Endurance (60-90 min rucking)
Fri: AM: Endurance (LSS running). PM: SE
Sat: optional Endurance
Sun: rest
Weeks 6-8:
Mon: MS
Tues: HIC (600m repeats)
Wed: Recovery
Thu: MS
Fri: HIC (Hill sprints)
Sat: Endurance (60 min rucking)
Sun: Rest
I plan on moving to a Black-ish Zulu in Block 2.
It is my goal to post here every day I've completed the training of the day, however, I might not always be able to, due to work and family.

Base building, week 1, day 1.
Day 1 was good.
Started with a 25 minutes run this morning, which felt good and was within the HR range most of the time.
Around noon I did the SE portion, since it's my day off

Endurance: 30 minutes running. 4.38 km.
A bit of a struggle for the Ego to stay in the HR zone, however, I managed it most of the time.

Average temp: 31 degrees Celcius - This was a hot day!
All in all, I'm happy with the progress I've made so far. There has been some sessions I've been unable to do, either due to work or health.

Ended up skipping Strength Endurance, not too happy with myself about that.

- notes: Postponed the run from yesterday to today. After the turnaround point my left calf started tightening, feeling like it was going to tear, so stopped and walked back. Still feeling tight several hours later. I'm going to give it a bit of rest from running and will see if I can find a rower for endurance sessions, if not, I'll find a stationary bike.

- - Notes: There was no 24 kg KB. so had to jump to 28 kg. Managed to do 4 sets of 10 with each arm, before having to switch to the 20 kg.
- Pull-ups: 10x3
