Thanks to both of you. I'll wait to see an airdyne on Kijiji.

I know I can do burpees but sometime my mind just don't want it anymore hehe

My mind never wants to do the burpees. But let me tell you, brother.. I want to destroy the goddamn bike after doing 2min intervals. Seriously. It's good I don't have a sledgehammer!

I found a used one. I'm looking forward to try it tonight :)

Any good HIC that are not in the book that you guys use with this?

I was thinking doing indoor apex like the other thread.

Different variations of intervals:

- 15/20 sec max out
- 45/40 sec recovery pace

Also, I think you can use it in place of most sprints/runs that are in the book.

Congrats on the bike. It is training tool for life.

Thanks, especially in the winter here.

Thanks, for the intervals. I see what you mean. It's like short hill and longer hill sprint.

Any recommendations for replacement on airdyne when it ask to run for a distance (ex run 800m) if I don't know my run time. Ex speed endurance ladders and anaerobic capacity?

I'd do 30sec max/30 sec recovery in place of standard hills.

As for the distance runs.. it shouldn't be exact time. I have been thinking for myself of doing something like:

- 800m run ~ 4 min cycling with steady effort
- 400m sprint ~ 90sec max out

Something like that. You can choose similar timing to start with that and progress along the road.

It's going to be fun! For sure!

Great!

I don't have a computer on my Airdyne (yet!), but I'v read that a three mile time trial is a great workout and serious challenge.
