Playing catch up with my training after the forum seemed to be down for the week. I have been plugging away at my S&C and getting in some yoga classes at the gym when I can. I also have used some follow along yoga on YouTube with success.
My Strength training is coming along nicely and I have been just plugging away getting some volume in. My conditioning training volume is still lacking but I have been recovering from a cold all week. No covid fortunately just a general winter cold.
BJJ is back as of this weekend so I am looking forward to getting back on the mats provided my cold is finally finished.

How's the Bulgarian split squats treating you so far?

They are definitely feeling good overall. It's just a touch easier to recover from and gives me more training options with being able to use the work gym which has no Olympic barbells with the uncertainty of covid. I definitely miss back squats but my recovery overall has massively increased. I plan on returning to back squats in the future to finish off the year and then it will just become an occasional testing phase yearly I think. I have definitely noticed extra strength in awkward positions at BJJ when people get me off balance. Bare minimum after a stressful couple of days before starting nightshift. No shoulder press this week as I wanted to get a second benchpress session in. I will be hitting up BJJ tomorrow if all goes well for a midday gi class.
